Caesium Image Compressor (For Windows)
Caesium Image Compressor is an image compression software for Windows promises to reduce PNG, JPG, JPEG, GIF, etc. images by up to 90%. Although you can manually control the quality of output images in the compression options.
Follow the steps below:
- Download and Install Caesium Image Compressor software on your PC.
- Launch the software, Click the Add button and import images.
- You can select as many images you want.
- In Compression options, set an output folder where your compressed images should be saved.
- Set Quality of output images. I recommend a quality value should be between 50-80.
- Click the Compress button and all selected images will compress quickly.
Compression options explained
Quality: It means what quality do you want for the output images. More you decrease quality, more your images will lose size. But in order to maintain image quality, your value should be between 50-80.
Format: The output format of the compressed images should be JPG only.
Resize: Automatically resizes selected images with compression.
Output folder: Select an output folder where the compressed images should be saved.
Suffix: Add a suffix at the end of output files names.
ImageOptim (For macOS)
ImageOptim is one of the best free image optimization tools for macOS lets you compress JPG/JPEG and PNG images in seconds. All you need to do is, install the software on your Mac, drag and drop image files on the ImageOptim, andit will automatically compress the images with the default compression settings.
You can enable lossless image compression in ImageOptim from Preferences > Quality > Temporarily enable lossy minification. This will compress images by up to 90% without reducing its quality.
Trimage (For Linux)
Trimage is a command-line based image compressor for cross-platform including Linux. It optimizes PNG and JPG images at the highest lossless compression even without reducing quality.
