Description
The Novelis North America Specialties team is looking for an Associate Business Analyst. The Associate Business Analyst is responsible for supporting the development and management of the Industrial Product Group contract management process, pricing analysis and strategy, and business development activities. The employee will ensure that market strategies, product portfolio, service strategy, negotiation tactics and pricing levels are consistent with the Business unit goals and consistent across the market space. The incumbent will forecast and track volumes, monitor and manage OTIF, A/R, quality and inventory in collaboration with Customer Service, Supply Chain, and Technical Services are also important factors for the success of the position.Responsibilities:
- Support development of pricing offers to create negotiation advantages for Sales to maximize margins.
- Coordinate RFA process
- Ensure price consistency across the business
- Support Sales Director in setting and delivering annual pricing and margin performance supporting our EBITDA and Cash Flow objectives
- Identify profit improvement opportunities
- Streamline product portfolio
- Minimize plant complexity while maximizing profitability
- Communicate product portfolio strategy to Commercial Team and support decision making process
- Develop monthly Specialties recap with inputs from both IPG and LG
- Work with Plants, Technical Team, and Customer Service by communicating clearly Customer requirements
- Assist the Technical Team in finding resolution to open claims
Qualifications
- Minimum BA/BS College Degree – Finance, Engineering, Accounting or Economics
- 1-2 years of work experience with business analysis, strategy or operations
- Excellent business partnering skills required – ability to interact and communicate with individuals in various functional areas and various levels of management
- Manufacturing industry experience a plus
- High degree of proficiency in Financial Modeling, Excel and PowerPoint
- Detail-oriented, self-starter who is assertive, disciplined and flexible
- Ability to positively manage change in response to shifting demands, as well as multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
