THE Work and Social Security Card (CTPS) is a document from the Ministry of Labor and Employment (MTE), which can be issued to Brazilian citizens, who were born in Brazil or were naturalized, who are 14 years old or older.
It is used to record all professional activity of the Brazilian who works under the CLT (Consolidation of Labor Laws) regime. It records the date of admission, length of employment, salary, payment of unemployment insurance and PIS, vacation and the date of leaving employment.

How and where to get a Work Permit?
The Work Card can be issued in physical or digital form.

How to take a Digital Work Card
The Digital Work Card can be issued by the CTPS Digital application, available for iOS and Android, or the link servicos.mte.gov.br. This digital version can replace the paper document.
To make yours, you need to create an account on the gov.br portal by accessing the website access.gov.br. When filling out the registration, you will receive a message (by email or SMS) to activate your account.
With the account activated, you can download the application or access the website servicos.mte.gov.br and inform registered CPF and password. In the digital version, you can quickly view basic data about your employment. For more details, you need to do another identity verification with information about your previous contracts, etc. It is important to confirm this data correctly in order not to have the registration blocked.
It is also worth noting that the digital version uses the CPF as the key number. Therefore, your CTPS number does not appear in the electronic document.
If you have never worked with wallet registration, the digital document must bring only your personal data.
If you have a physical CTPS it is important to keep the document that is valid as a record of all your employment contracts. This is because the electronic system may fail to collect data.
