ABOUT THIS JOB

As a Guest Service Agent, you will be responsible for greeting and registering guests and checking guests out of the hotel as well as providing the guest with a memorable experience in the hotel’s continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.

  • Greet guests and complete the confirmation, check-in and check-out processes efficiently, including verifying guest information, rate, room, code keys or electronic keys, promote marketing programs, provide direction to room and inform guests of hotel amenities and services
  • Using a computer, verify all guest information and charges, use the point-of-sale, and be proficient in multiple programs such as the internet, email, and Windows based programs
  • Handle cash, credit and debit cards, gift certificates or cards and checks with high accuracy and post charges, make corrections, investigate abnormalities
  • Respond to guest inquiries or issues and requests timely, friendly an in an efficient manner; field guest complaints, conduct research, resolve and negotiate solutions for guest satisfaction
  • Ensure the stay was positive and exceeds the guests’ expectation – utilize every opportunity the brand provides to be sure the guest is fully satisfied with their stay
  • Provide local information and directions for restaurants, attractions and events
  • Observe and report repairs needed on any area of the guest room, employee areas, or public areas to supervisor or maintenance
  • Report lost and found articles promptly and accurately
  • Inform management of any issues or situations that may require the need for the management team to meet if foul play is suspected or if something potentially suspicious is happening in a room
  • Maintain strict key control at all times
  • Provide outstanding service to both our internal and external customers
  • Maintain open communication with other hotel departments as well as other shifts and follow up
  • Be a team player and always act in the best interest of the hotel
  • Understand and perform basic safety, security and emergency procedures of the hotel
