Renfrewshire drug and alcohol services will provide recovery orientated person centred care through the delivery of a range of care and treatment options for individuals who experience difficulties with alcohol and or drugs and to ensure those individuals in the greatest need are prioritised in terms of access to co-ordinated services. You will contribute to the drug and alcohol services in providing high quality nursing care and support to individuals with addiction problems and to their families and carers within the local community. They will be involved in providing appropriate intervention to clients with addictions problems and to access community supports employment etc. You will be working under the direction and supervision of a Band 6 Nurse. Networking with other agencies as well as other disciplines towards the provision of an appropriately targeted service is an essential function of the post holder and team will contribute to the drug and alcohol services in providing high quality nursing care and support to individuals with addiction problems and to their families and carers within the local community. You will be involved in providing appropriate intervention to clients with addictions problems and to access community supports employment etc. You will be working under the direction and supervision of a Band 6 Nurse. It is essential you are a registered Mental Health Nurse with current NMC registration. Experience of working with individuals with addictions would be beneficial. A current Driving Licence is desirable for this post. The hours of this post are worked Monday to Thursday 8.45am to 5.00pm and Friday 9.00am to 4.00pm.
