Job Description
The junior sales representative will utilize clinical and/or business expertise to drive sales of the BD Peripheral Intervention portfolio of products as well as patient education in targeted accounts. This individual will support and execute against the DM’s business plan by working closely with the field team including RMs, DMs, TMs, and clinical specialist.
- Maintains a working knowledge of assigned BD Peripheral Intervention products, competitive devices, and techniques used in both open and endovascular surgical medicine.
- Demonstrates understanding of Bard policies, procedures, and regulations in order to maintain a satisfactory record of compliance.
- Maintains open, effective communication with all district personnel, customers, and other Bard employees.
- Demonstrates an ability to establish relationships with all pertinent account players, including physicians, nurses, technologists, and administrative personnel.
PRIMARY DUTIES*:
The Junior Sale Representative will provide sales, clinical, and medical economic expertise while supporting strategic targeted accounts /customers as directed by the district manager.
- Achieve quarterly and annual sales forecasts for targeted products.
- Responsible for the successful promotion of all related BD PI products to key targeted accounts.
- Works closely with the Regional Managers, District Managers, and Territory Managers to identify and execute upon key sales initiatives
- Assists TM with inventory responsibilities along with other administrative tasks

Education and/or Experience:
- This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree.
- Minimum of 1 year sales experience or 2 years working in the Cath Lab, Special Procedures, and/or the OR.
- Advanced knowledge of vascular access management, vascular surgery, and endovascular medicine preferred.
- Must possess and maintain a valid state-issued driver’s license and meet BD’s auto safety standards.
- Strong time management skills with an ability to maintain numerous priorities and meet established deadlines.
- Self-motivated, takes on additional responsibilities, and manages priorities with minimal supervision.
- Frequent travel required.
