Essential Duties and Responsibilities include
the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

  • Processing of weekly payroll and associated reports, including verification of time and attendance pre-process.
  • Processing and maintaining enrollments and payments and reporting of 401K and Profit Sharing
  • Coordinate w/accounting – annual 401k audit & Process documentation for 5500
  • Conduct annual company open enrollment for Insurances in conjunction with HR Team
  • Maintain company insurance plans (Medical HRA and HSA, Dental, Ancillary, and Voluntary)
  • Responsible for the training in Ceridian for new employees, current employees, and Managers on the payroll process, timekeeping system and enrollment in benefits online.
  • Responsible for new hires orientation concerning insurance benefits.
  • Organize daily work, prioritize work time and effectively manage deadlines.
  • Create a professional, positive atmosphere for employees and effectively and promptly communicate with employees and different levels of management within the company.
  • Partnership with Human Resources for policies, procedures, creation and implementation of benefits, special projects and other duties needed.
  • Assist VP of Finance in negotiating employee renewal insurances (Medical, Dental, Ancillaries).
  • Maintain and report special items i.e. EEO, FMLA, OSHA, Wage/Benefits and BLS as needed

Required Knowledge & Skills:

  • Highly attentive to detail,problem solver and well organized.
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local laws as it relates payroll and benefits.
  • Strong sense of personal accountability and self-motivation, with a strong customer orientation
  • Strong analytical skills, highly articulate, and credible communicator
  • Must be able to keep company information confidential.
  • Ability to multi-task several priorities at one time.
  • Familiarity with benefits programs and varied compensation calculations.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Be able to travel between buildings (6 miles away)
  • Proficient at MS Office (Strong Excel Skills)

Education/Training/Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • 5 years of minimum payroll experience, including payroll systems (ADP, Ceridian preferred).
  • Experience with Time Keeping Systems (Kronos, eTime, Ceridian, etc.).
  • 2-5 years’ experience Health, HRA, HSA benefit plans.

The position is salary and the hours are from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday.
