We are looking for a motivated individual seeking growth. This individual will be part of a highly passionate and driven luxury Sales Team. This person would work closely with the hotel’s operational team to deliver a quintessentially luxury experience to both our internal and external guests. Our ideal candidate is seeking a career growth in hotels and more specifically within Sales and Marketing. In this role you with be exposed to all accounts within the managed segments such as luxury consortia, business transient, entertainment and group. A drive to succeed paired with the upmost discretion as our hotel is known to be a hideaway for a wide variety of discerning guests ranging from A-list celebrities, royals and C-Suite Executives will be necessary for success.
Essential Functions:
- Respond promptly and accurately to all reservation requests, inquiries and correspondence from customers, prospects and lead referrals.
- Engage with potential guests and/or third parties to confirm reservations. Quote full rate options and possess knowledge to customize best stay, with focus on increasing revenue per reservation. Achieves growing ‘revenue production via “Inside Sales”.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of room types, styles, accommodation differentials, configurations and is able to articulate these to guests or potential guests.
- Host site inspections and utilize time with contacts to further advance qualification and closing of business opportunities.
- Assist in preparation of sales trips with major focus on collateral, gifts, and shipments and, on occasion, all travel arrangements for the Director of Sales and Marketing, Director of Luxury Sales, Assistant Director of Sales, Sales Managers, and Marketing and PR Manager.
- Assist with sales team out of office coverage as needed.
- Publish and edit sales and marketing and hotel information – flyers, newsletters, etc.
- Participate in site visits and plan meetings for upcoming groups and potential catering business.
- Build rapport with current client base to ensure repeat business, guest loyalty, and uncover new business.
- Manage, follow up upon and expedite completion of specially assigned projects/tasks with a high degree of autonomy.
- Maintain a friendly and caring demeanor at all times in a fast- paced environment.
- Assists with special projects as needed, manage hotel branded inventory, maintain schedules in terms of appointments, travel and meetings, acting as a liaison with departments when necessary, and maintain a professional environment.
Requirements:
- 1+ year of Hotel experience is required. Previous sales or front desk experience a plus.
- High school or equivalent education required.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Strong computer skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Delphi, Opera, Lanyon, Hotelligence and other database knowledge a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Capable of managing multiple projects and responsibilities with ease.
- Well organized and detail-oriented.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to sit at a desk for up to 6 hours per day and stand for up to 6 hours during a shift.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
