Quality Officer

Main Purpose Children and Young People’s Social Care’s require two Quality Officers to support the Access to Resources Team (ART) in assuring the quality of the market (Fostering, Residential, Leaving Care and services for disabled children) and that provision is safe, effective, caring, responsive, and well led and that Children and Young People’s outcomes are being met. The successful candidate will be educated to GCSE standard (5 A-C grades) or have an equivalent level of proven experience relevant to the requirements of the post and have experience of working operationally/ directly with children, young people and/or with families coupled with a good working knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, best practice guidance and key national policy drivers in health and social care. Candidates are required to have: Experience of working in regulated settings and the ability to ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements relating to quality standards, systems and processes Ability to provide guidance and advice to service providers to develop good practice to comply with quality standards A good understanding of market oversight and quality assurance functions High level of written/oral skills and strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to present information and findings to a wide range of audiences Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to develop relationships, with both service providers and key stakeholders and people who use the services.
