Job Description Communities and Families Pupil Support Assistants Various locations Salary: 18,316 – 21,190 (pro rata for part time and sessional 38 weeks) Hours: various, term-time only (38 weeks per year) The City of Edinburgh Council would like to invite applications from candidates who wish to be added to our Special School Pupil Support Assistant Supply register. We are looking for conscientious and reliable individuals with a kind and caring nature as well as excellent inter-personal, IT and communication skills. Strong team players with a first aid qualification and previous experience of working in a school would be desirable. Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range. For roles in grade 5 or above, annual increments in our contribution zones are dependent on achieving agreed performance goals. This post is and considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by the City of Edinburgh Council.
