Job Description Interview Date: Wednesday 9 January 2019 The post is a full-time permanent position in Children and Families Leven Team 1 based in Carberry House, Scoonie Road, Leven. Hours of work are 08:48 to 17:00, Monday to Friday. It is however sometimes necessary to work out-with those hours and the Council does operate a mobile and flexible working scheme. Requirements To contribute to the management of the service whilst taking on specific areas of responsibility and overseeing the work of social work staff. Ensuring service users receive a high quality experience of their support service. Contribute to complex assessments of need and risk. To oversee the development, implementation and evaluation of creative plans to support children and their families utilising a strengths based, solution focused approach reflecting the principles of GIRFEC. Provide written reports as required, including informed recommendations concerning care/action plans, further actions. Effective use to case recording and case file management. Maintain service user/carer contact as required. Promoting/maintaining independence and inclusion. Participate in multi-agency meetings as required. Work in collaboration with partners e.g. Health Service, Education, Police and voluntary sector agencies. Improve the outcomes for service users. To undertake professional supervision of qualified social workers within area teams. To carry a small caseload where required, and to retain an overview of cases open to the team. The Individual Significant post-qualifying experience and an accredited post-qualifying training award is essential, or the ability to work towards this within two years of obtaining the post. The ability to travel throughout Fife is essential. Before confirming appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
