Within a multi-disciplinary team you will have responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the care needs of older adults with Mental Health problems. As well as participating in, staff will be responsible for providing supervision to untrained staff and nursing students. Experience in Older adults Mental Health is desirable. Participation in regular caseload supervision with a named Band 6 CPN, will be a critical aspect of the role. Within the CMHT setting, care is delivered by a multi-disciplinary team in collaboration with partner agencies. It is based on the best available evidence for practice and is planned and delivered in a manner which promotes personal choice. The clinical team works collaboratively with service users, carers and their representatives to ensure that care needs are identified and met. All patients being cared for have a Named Nurse and/or Keyworker who is tasked with working closely with their identified patients/carers to develop a participative, therapeutic relationship and deliver high quality mental health care in an environment where patients feel valued and where confidentiality is respected. It is essential that you are currently a Registered Mental Health Nurse with the NMC and that you have evidence of post basic professional development. Having a current driving licence would be desirable. The shift pattern for this post is Monday – Friday 9.00am – 5.00pm. As holding current full professional registration is an essential requirement for the post, candidates who do not complete the professional registration section of the application form or who do not hold current full registration may not be considered for shortlisting.
