Job Description Social Care Officer, Aberfeldy (PKC04929) £12,475 – £14,052 (24 hours/week) Dalweem Residential Care Home, Taybridge Road, Aberfeldy PH15 2BH Dalweem Care Home is a service for older people providing permanent and respite care placements. The successful candidates will be required to work as part of a team to deliver high standards of care and support to service users, working closely with their carers and other professionals to achieve desired personal outcomes. You will assist with personal care, administer medication, develop support plans/risk assessments and review these regularly working in consultation with service users and their carer/relative. We operate a 12 hour shift pattern working over a 6 week period, this also includes 2 weeks of nightshift. This post includes a shift allowance. The successful candidate will have effective communication skills and appreciate the needs, wishes and aspirations of older people and how best to support them and their carer’s in the Care Home setting. You will be required to register with the SSSC as a Practitioner in a Care Home service, therefore an SVQ 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable or a willingness to work towards this qualification.
