Advert School Facilities Assistant (7/30164) (Fixed Term) St Columba’s Primary School £3,626.21 – £3,779.43 This post is for a fixed term period of up to 6 months. Working 9.75 hours per week, 38 weeks per year based St Columba’s Primary School. To provide general facilities support to meet school, operational needs, its surrounds and to support the school community. Ensuring the security of the premises and its contents including keyholder responsibilities, responding to fire and burglar alarms and patrolling the premises as appropriate. Capable of building positive relations with staff and students. Ability to cooperate with others and work as part of a team and be able to work on own initiative. Under the direction of the Head Teacher the School Facilities Assistant may encompass normal administrative processes together with carrying out a range of duties as outlined for the Facilities Assistant post The above salary includes a current living wage supplement. This post is considered as Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. From 28 February 2011, preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to formal offer of employment being made by Dumfries and Galloway Council. Applicants who have been resident outside the UK within the last 5 years, if offered a position, in addition to a Disclosure Scotland Check, will be required to provide a completed police record check from the police authority in the country or countries in which they were resident.
