Scope of the Role This is an exciting, board director opportunity at Fresh Direct, which requires a talented sales leader who can motivate and lead a dynamic sales team. The successful candidate will create and deliver the future sales strategy, allowing us to build on strong foundations to ensure that recent positive trajectory is continued within the business. This role will form a key part of the Fresh Direct board of directors, reporting directly to the Managing Director and will have end to end responsibility for the sales function within FDUK. Critically, this role will also require the successful candidate to contribute to the FDUK board and operate across an end to end business and P&L, working cross functionally with board colleagues to create, support and deliver the future plans for the FDUK business. Key Responsibilities Covering all aspects of the sales function, in a business which has bold growth plans, ensuring the maximisation of profit and long term growth in this highly competitive sector Develop, and implement a business transforming sales strategy, focussed on addressing the sales mix through exploding growth in street & local contract customers & broadline, whilst underpinning large corporate accounts with a strong partnership approach Work closely with operations and commercial teams to devise the proposition to succeed Leadership of the team, ensuring continuous communication of the business target, defining targets by area and individual and measuring / driving results v’s target Build long-term strategic relationships that deliver EBITA growth and position the businesses in a consistent way as the customer’s partner of choice Have a strong focus on implementing coaching and development initiatives through the sales team in order to drive capability & business / colleague success Personally manage client relationships at the highest level, whilst encouraging and developing working relationships across all departments of the businesses. Ensure that KPIs are in place with each customer and that they are being achieved on a monthly basis (via effective management of the customer services team) presenting the metrics to the Board and key stakeholders Contribute as part of the Fresh Direct Board to the running and future strategic direction of the company.
