Requirements This is a social care worker role which contributes to meeting the personal, social and emotional needs of people with disabilities and their carers. Promoting social inclusion by working with people to maximise their personal independence, health and wellbeing to access opportunities in their local communities enabling them to live meaningful lives. It involves: Undertaking a range of personal/physical care tasks which may include assistance with washing, dressing, eating, toileting, administration of medication and any other tasks in accordance with the care plan. Providing positive support and encouragement for people to make their own choices and decisions in all aspects of their daily lives. The post is casual and therefore is on an as and when required basis. You will be required to undertake physical tasks. The Individual You should have experience of working as part of a team as well as the ability to work on your own. You should have good communication skills which will enable you to engage with service users and others. You must have knowledge of an outcome focussed approach to service delivery. You should have good organisational skills which enable you to work in a flexible way, manage and prioritise your workload. You should have knowledge of health and safety requirements for yourself and others. You should be able to undertake physical tasks which will include moving and handling. You must be able to evidence your continuous personal development, your literacy skills, basic IT skills and your ability to use your initiative. If you are successful you must complete your registration for this role with SSSC within 6 months of your start date. You must have the ability to travel throughout Fife.
