Requirements Enabling people to maximise their independence in relation to their personal and social needs in accordance with the National care standards. Promoting social inclusion by working with people to maximise their personal independence, health and well-being to access opportunities in their local community. The Individual Must have experience/awareness of National Care Standards service (Deliver results-See How we work matters framework) You must have the ability to engage positively with groups of frail elderly service users, to develop strong positive and trusting relationships in order for them to attend day service and build links and friendships with others in their community. Although no formal qualification are necessary a SVQ2 or equivalent is desirable but not essential. The post holder will have to undertake and complete core training. Ability to provide a regular and effective service. Ability to travel. Ability to make effective decisions. Good Communication skills. Experience of making effective decisions (Focus on customers) Ability to be innovative and creative Ability to work in a flexible way. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Networking skills Knowledge of outcome focused approach. Organisational skills. Ability to manage and prioritise workload.
