The Procurement Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting procurement activity needed for the implementation of the European Medical Device Regulation (EU MDR) compliance program. This support will require procurement/sourcing of components and services for all product lines across the surgery business unit as well as managing/expediting supplier/component timelines and costing. This candidate will provide support and customer service to the EU MDR implementation team and affected plant materials departments while complying with BD procurement department policies and corporate procedures. The ideal candidate for this position will be is highly motivated to grow within the organization in the future, thrive on an environment of creativity and accountability, and be able to improve service levels to all customers.
This individual will be responsible for sourcing components that are changing as a result of the EU MDR initiative to optimize cost, timing, and supply base. Where applicable, the Procurement Project Coordinator will support activities to add EU MDR affected components to new/existing supply agreements. This position will act as the procurement project leader over affected suppliers and plant materials groups.
