Advert Principal Teacher Primary (1.0fte) (Temporary) (7/10201) Hoddom Primary School PT01 – £39,774 This is an exciting opportunity for someone wishing to gain experience in a management role. The successful candidate will be part of the management team of the Eaglesfield/Hoddom/Hottsbridge Primary School partnership. We are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative and motivated Principal Teacher to provide leadership and management within the schools based at Hoddom Primary until July 2020. As Principal Teacher you will work to ensure that successful learning outcomes are achieved for all pupils. The post holder will be responsible for teaching an assigned class, as well as management activities within the school and across the learning community. You will implement and take forward curriculum development and improvement within your school and as part of the PT team within the partnership. You will provide effective learning and teaching and carry out related activities and developments following local, national and school policies under the direction of the Head Teacher. This post may be suitable for secondment. Agreement from your line manager must be sought before applying for this post. Applicants for teaching posts must be registered with the General Teaching Council for Scotland, Clerwood House, 96 Clermiston Road, Edinburgh, EH12 6UT in the appropriate sector. This post is considered as Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. From 28 February 2011, preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to formal offer of employment being made by Dumfries and Galloway Council.
