The Out of hours service in Greater Glasgow & Clyde is part of the acute services division it provides unscheduled medical and nursing service covering around 260 GP practices There are 9 sites across GG&C and there is multidisciplinary teams in most sites. These Primary Care nurse roles are to work as part of a multidisciplinary team providing emergency medical services in the Out of Hours service. The primary care nurse is responsible for assessing on arrival, observing patients whilst in waiting room, and escalate to senior clinician any concerns, carrying out vital signs on patients, and administering medication when required ensuring all equipment cleaned between patients. It is essential you are a Registered Adult Nurse with current NMC registration and have previous experience in primary care, community and clinic settings. The hours are variable but shifts would be 5hr, 8 hr or 12 hrs or posts with min of 5 hrs per week. The shift pattern is evening , weekends overnights and public holidays.
