Advert Based at St Andrew’s Academy, Barrhead Road, Paisley. The Inclusion Support Assistant will work with pupils and families to raise attainment by providing a high level of assistance to meet educational, social and physical needs. You will provide assistance in relation to a range of support strategies employed by St. Andrew’s Academy to promote inclusion. These could include supporting attendance; promoting positive behaviour/relationships; supporting learning; supporting initiatives in relation to whole school nurture. The role will be defined by the needs of the pupils in the school. It is essential that you are educated to minimum SVQ level 3, HNC or equivalent in social care, early learning, education or health; that you have experience of working with children/young people and families who have faced barriers to learning; that you have experience/knowledge of the GIRFEC approach and nurturing approaches. You should be highly motivated, able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team, be an effective communicator, enthusiastic, positive and resilient. If successful, you will be required to undertake a Disclosure Scotland check, the level of check will be determined by the duties of the post.
