IIT Kharagpur will organize an international e-seminar on ‘Gandhian Thoughts and Philosophy’

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur is organizing international e-symposium in association with top global universities to mark the completion of 150th birth anniversary celebrations of Mahatma Gandhi. A spokesperson of the institute said on Saturday that Gandhian experts from India, including academics from universities in the US, UK, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and professors from IIT Kharagpur, will “discuss Gandhian thought and philosophy through webinars” in select days of August. .

These webinars were held on August 8 with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the Gandhi Forum in India, on August 15 with Tufts University, Manchester University in the UK, University of Texas Arlington, UK on August 20, University of Leeds, UK Australia’s University of Melbourne, New Zealand’s Massey University and University of Auckland will be held on August 27 and the University of Alberta and Canada’s University of Toronto on August 28.

Topics of the webinar will include ‘Sarvodaya – universal upliftment or self-reliance – self-reliance,’ Gandhian heritage in today’s world, ‘Branding Gandhi, Gandhian economics for development in India,’ from self-reliant India to Sarvodaya Over 1,000 participants from all over will participate.
