Hays are working in partnership with a global multi-disciplinary construction consultancy to recruit a Graduate Civils Quantity Surveyor based in Belfast. As their Belfast Cost Management Business Unit continues to grow, our client has saw a specific growth demand within the Infrastructure sector (Water, Power, Highways, Environment). Your new role As a Graduate Quantity Surveyor, you will be part of an exciting new team who will assist in the successful management and delivery of various capital projects across Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland and the wider global business. The role will cover the whole project lifecycle from initial inception / business case through to completion / commissioning. The role will include preparation of estimates & tender documentation through the design and procurement process and onto the site delivery / commissioning phase. What you’ll need to succeed In this role you will help develop collaborative relationships with clients and other professional colleagues and so must have an understanding of the importance of Client focus. Good interpersonal and communication skills are important as well as the ability to develop long term relationships with all team members. You must have a good understanding of project governance and procurement processes. Minimum Requirements : Good understanding of NEC contracts / Clean driving licence and car ownership.
