A vacancy will soon exist for an experienced General Manager (Brand Manager in Volkswagen UK parlance) This vacancy has been created by virtue of our current General Manager retiring summer 2019. The current General Manager has spent a lifetime in the car industry and over twenty five years with Eastern Western. In that time he has built Western Volkswagen, Fort Kinnaird, Edinburgh in to something of a Volkswagen powerhouse with high volumes, great customer satisfaction and franchise-leading levels of profitability. Any candidate for this role will need a demonstrable track history running successful, large and highly profitable motor trade businesses. They will be versed in the creation of budgets, strategies and marketing plans. They will understand activity management, performance management, working capital controls and market area performance data. They will have clarity of vision and the ability to lead one of the highest performing teams in the car industry. The current General Manager will retire in July 2019. We intend the incoming General Manager to start work with the team in June 2019 allowing for a professional handover of the business. Interviews will commence in early April 2019.
