The main terms and conditions of employment are also available via the above link Applications are invited for two permanent main grade Educational Psychologist posts, currently available within Fife Educational Psychology Service. These post offers the opportunity to join a dynamic Educational Psychology Service (EPS) that offers a comprehensive induction and supervision programme. There is a strong commitment to supporting Continuing Professional Development for all staff and the EPS is currently involved in a wide range of research and development opportunities across the Education & Children’s Services Directorate. Probationers will be supported by service staff on the BPS Register of Applied Psychologist Practice Supervisors. Requirements Applications are welcomed from suitably qualified and experienced psychologists. Before confirming appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme Membership through Disclosure Scotland. Responsibilities To contribute to the work of the Educational Psychology Service (EPS) in relation to children and young people (0–24 years) in Fife, within the aims, objectives and practice guidelines of the EPS, within the relevant statutory framework, and in accordance with Fife Council policies and procedures. To be accountable, through local line management, to the Principal Psychologist for maintaining the highest standards of practice and to Fife Council as employer. The Individual Candidates for this post will have: Relevant experience of Educational Psychology practice Single or joint honours or postgraduate degree in psychology, conferring basis for graduate membership of the British Psychological Society, and a postgraduate qualification in educational psychology Registration with, or eligibility to register with the HCPC, subject to successful completion of appropriate BPS qualification Practice consistent with Fife EPS aims and priorities Highly effective interpersonal, consultation, and organisational skills The ability to work on their own initiative with appropriate assertiveness Demonstrable success in teamwork and collaborative working, and success in working within agreed professional guidelines Demonstrable commitment to ongoing personal and professional development The ability to travel independently in a time efficient manner In Fife Council How We Work Matters and you will be responsible for being a role model by displaying and promoting behaviours that are expected of all Council employees: Take ownership Focus on customers Work together Embrace technology & information Deliver results For Further Information Please Contact: Malcolm McGovern onor email
