Job Description What is the role? South Ayrshire Council ICT are currently progressing a range of infrastructure upgrade and refresh projects and as such are looking to recruit a Temporary (12 months) additional Engineering Resource to work predominantly within the ICT Voice & Data Communications team. The post holder will be involved in a number of key projects, including LAN refresh and WAN migration, as well as Wireless and Security improvements. It is a requirement therefore that the successful candidate will be skilled in the following areas: Cisco Switches and Routers, Wireless APs (any vendor), Firewalls and Load Balancers. An understanding and awareness of modern VOIP Telephone Systems, especially LYNC/Skype For Business, as well as an awareness of relevant security practices and policies such as PCIDSS and PSN would be an advantage. It is expected that the applicants will hold a CCNA or equivalent demonstrable knowledge. Full Driving Licence essential.
