NHS LOTHIAN Oral Health Service Dental Officer Band A We are looking for a Dental Officer to work as part of the NHS Lothian Oral Health Service on a permanent full/part time 37.5 hours per week post primarily based at Chalmers Dental Centre in Edinburgh city centre The post-holder will be expected to: 1. Provide high quality unscheduled primary dental care under GDS regulations for unregistered adult and paediatric patients presenting with acute dental conditions 2. Provide high quality dental care to vulnerable adults who are homeless and /or with drug and alcohol dependency issues. Treatment will be provided under GDS regulations and in collaboration with partner support agencies 3. Contribute to the ongoing development of Unscheduled Dental Care Services in NHS Lothian including participation in audit and appraisal 4. Participate in the Lothian Out-of-Hours Service as required QUALIFICATIONS The postholder must be a dental graduate and be currently fully registered with the General Dental Council. In addition the post-holder should have post qualification experience relevant to the post.
