Advert Cook 3 (15/3061) Kelloholm Primary £10,996.06 – £11,812.36 You will be required to work 27.5 hours per week, 38 weeks per year. Cook 3 required to take charge of a primary school kitchen. You will be given direction / support from your line manager. You must have cooking skills/experience. Part of your duties within this role will include the following: Organising the day-to-day running of this kitchen Ordering of supplies, Control of portion sizes etc Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Be able to approach problem management with ease Deal with any complaint Having knowledge of the following would be beneficial to this post: Evaluating food costs, Menu planning, Managing the kitchen budget H.A.S.A.W. and CookSafe, Follow procedures This post is considered as Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. From 28 February 2011, preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to formal offer of employment being made by Dumfries and Galloway Council. Applicants who have been resident outside the UK within the last 5 years, if offered a position, in addition to a Disclosure Scotland Check, will be required to provide a completed police record check from the police authority in the country or countries in which they were resident.
