Charge Nurse – Acute Medical

You will support and deputise for the Ward Sister for the management, organisation and delivery of the nursing service in an acute medical ward specialising in Cardiology; the assessment of care needs, the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care and the setting of standards of care. You will assist in the support and management of nursing staff within the ward/department ensuring that patient needs are assessed, care planned, implemented and evaluated, and that there is consultation and involvement of patient/carers/relatives. You will support the ward sister / charge nurse to exercise effective management of the ward/department, optimising the use of human resources, and rostering to reflect activity requirements. It is essential that you are currently a Registered Nurse with the NMC and that you have significant post registration experience. The shift pattern for this post is 12 hour shifts.
