Purpose of Job Build and grow Alpha’s presence in Phoenix and across Arizona by enrolling and cultivating Alpha churches and donors in the region

Key Responsibilities (include but not limited to)

· Work to execute the ministry plan for Phoenix with the Network Director

· Effectively enroll and support churches, organizations and individuals to effectively run Alpha in Phoenix

· Engage individual donors, churches, and foundations to financially support and grow Alpha in Phoenix

· Serve as a trainer and spokesperson while developing a network of 1) Alpha Hub churches, 2) cohorts, 3) coaches, and 4) Friends of Alpha across the region to maximize empowerment, reach, and influence

· Grow Friends of Alpha (Champions) who do one more of 3 things; 1) Pray 2) Serve or help us Grow Alpha, and/or 3) Partner with Alpha financially

· Promote unity of the church, passion for the lost, and openness to the Spirit in Phoenix

· Invest in young ministry leaders to raise up lifelong Alpha practitioners for the church

· Report to Network Director and involve advisory board, donors, and Friends of Alpha whenever possible

· Contribute and engage with the National Ministry Team on regular team calls

· Utilize Alpha context teams to grow Alpha in these areas within Phoenix (Catholic, Youth, Prison)

· Utilize marketing skills to expand influence of collaboration in Phoenix and share the work of God through stories including social media; Share Alpha experience to build credibility with leaders and churches

· Assist in the opening of new markets executing Alpha’s growth strategy – some travel required

· Church growth goal: Onboard 20 new churches to Run Alpha in yr. 1, 30 in yr. 2, and 40 in yr. 3

· Responsible for meeting fundraising goals through relationship development and champion buildingKey Responsibilities (include but not limited to)

Education

· Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience

· 3-5 years of experience with Alpha (on staff or as a volunteer)

 

Desirable Characteristics

· Alpha attitude and values (see organizational values), adaptability to change, collaboration, team-player, drive for results, fostering spiritual growth, problem solving and innovation, initiative, motivational leadership

· Experience with Alpha in various contexts (prisons, youth, Catholic)

· Candidate will complete a Birkman Assessment with results lining up with the responsibilities for this role
