The 10 Most Useful Android Secret Dial Codes You Should Know

Our Android phone dialer can do a lot of things instead of dialing a phone number, such as using the hidden features of your phone, get sensitive information, factory reset your device, and more just by using the secret dial code. These codes are hidden from a normal user because the phone makers do not want everyone to access these codes.

For example, * #06# is a secret dial code for checking your phone’s IMEI number, it is very common and everyone knows about it, but many Android codes exist to access the hidden menu and testing tools.

These secret codes are sometimes used by any phone software specialist or any mobile engineer.

  1. *#*#4636#*#* or *#0*#: Test mode, display a lot of information about your device and WiFi, and usage statistics.
  2. #*#273282*255*663282*#*#: Backup media files on your device.
  3. *#7780# or *2767*3855#: Factory resets your device, including all files and applications.
  4. *#12580*369#: Show information about your device software (SW) and hardware (HW).
  5. *#*#2664#*#*: Device touchscreen testing.
  6. *#9900#: System Dump Mode.
  7. *#*#0842#*#*: Test your device vibration and backlight.
  8. *#7465625#: View your device lock status.
  9. *#*#34971539#*#*: Get your device camera to a lot of information.
  10. *#*#8351#*#* (Enable) or *#*#8350#*#* (Disable): Enable or disable voice dialing logging mode.

Some codes are not working on my device?

It is not 100% guaranteed that all the codes listed above will work on all Android devices. I list very common hidden dial codes that works on almost any Android device, and ensures that your device has a stock firmware, not a custom ROM.

Which dialer app should I use?

You can use any dialer app to dial these screen codes, but I recommend the default dialer on your device.

Can I reveal all the hidden dial codes of my device?

As I told the phone makers don’t want all users to see these codes, you can find your device-specific codes by searching on the web. An app called Secret Codes by Firefly helps find some hidden dial codes on your Android device.
