Job Description To carry out the duties of a Plumber/Advanced Plumber and to contribute to the provision of an efficient and effective maintenance service. Requirements To undertake craft duties as directed by the Plumbing & Heating Supervisor. To provide out of hours cover when required. To undertake training as required. To comply with all Health and Safety and security procedures and guidelines. To undertake any other duties as may be reasonably expected from time to time. The Individual Time Served Plumber with full working knowledge of domestic plumbing & heating systems* SVQ Level 3 in Plumbing & Heating or equivalent* Current SNIJIB/Gas Safe Register Grading Card* CCN1, including CPA1 Certification* CENWAT, CKR1 & HTR1 Certification* Capable of working on own or as a team member. Self-confident and self-motivated. Full driving licence* Ability to undertake daily checks on vehicle and record information accurately. Good all round knowledge of a range of domestic plumbing & heating systems. Ability to follow routines and instructions. Able to communicate effectively with both members of the public and colleagues. Ability to deal with people in a professional and courteous manner. Ability to deliver high levels of customer care. Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to the practice of effective team working. Willingness to accept direction/delegation. Ability to work flexibly to meet the needs and demands of the service. Must be able to climb ladders and work in confined spaces. Must be able to move and handle equipment and materials in accordance with manual handling regulations. Health and safety awareness.
