India is the 2nd largest market of mobile phone in the world

India crossed the milestone of 1 billion mobile phone users takes over the united states and other big mobile phone market countries in the world. China still in top because of the huge population in the country. India is in 2nd position on both mobile phone subscribers and population. In October 2015, India reached 1.03 billion mobile phone subscribers said by Telecom Regulatory Authority of India(TRAI).


The top selling phone companies in India are Samsung, Micromax, Karbonn, Motorola etc, and telecom operators Bharti Airtel, Idea Cellular, Reliance Communications have millions of subscribers. Cheap phone market in India is very high, even top companies like Micromax, Karbonn, Nokia, Lenovo more focus on cheap and budget smartphones.

Internet connectivity in India is so poor, even total number of internet users in India are 400 million and the population was around 1.3 billion. Indians waste too much on cheap internet packs provide by telecom companies and home broadband services are growing faster when everyone starts understanding the cheat side of India’s telecom companies.

The smartphone market of India is so good and online shopping companies more focus on electronics and smartphones. The rise of smartphones are all started after the launch of Android phones in India and it was the most popular operating system in India that takes over Windows.
